We recently moved to town and heard about this "landmark" restaurant. My family has now visited twice and we will not be back again.
The service was friendly enough, but remarkably slow. None of the entrees we received should be described as "landmark" quality. There is just nothing special about the place.
We've had much better food and service elsewhere in town.

This is the only place I've ever had to send a New York steak back for being rancid. That was my only experience but my friends say the lobster is good.

If you like to spend a lot of money on bad service and poor quality food then Dambar is the way to go. You can tell that the restaurant has no desire for quality. The food isn't consistent and just keeps getting worse as the years pass by. Their menu is fine, but you are lucky if you get a nice waitress. The food is by far their biggest failure. If you want to go someplace for a good steak try Kingman Company. At least they have good service.
